Primary Voting day is tomorrow.
My 11+ years as your Sheriff is very humbling and I am honored that you have supported me throughout. We have been able to stay up to date with technology and resources through your support.
As you may know or not that all NH police officers are certified through the NH Police Standards and Training Academy.
Usually each officer completes some type of field training at their hiring department also.
With this said the NHPST Academy does not teach anything about being a Sheriff/Deputy Sheriff or doing Sheriff's work that is required by laws. A Sheriff/Deputy Sheriff's work is unique and sometimes complicated. This is only learned through experiences. As you should now what you are serving to a citizen should they ask questions.
I still conduct Sheriff's sales and serve papers as needed. I am also able to process the paperwork if needed (when the admin. assistants are not in)
We also all conduct patrol work. We all assist other agencies as needed and cover calls in the towns with no law enforcement.
I am honored and greatful to be working with a group of dedicated Deputies, Dispatchers, Bailiffs and Administrative assistants.
I conduct most of the grant processes, hiring all employees, contract negotiations, budgeting, cruiser purchases and much more.
I am the NH Sheriff's Association President for the last 5+ years. Which involves a certain dedication also. For the last 8 yrs I have organized and hosted the NHSA Scholarship fundraising golf event that awards scholarships to each of the 10 Counties each year.
My opponent has no experience in Carroll County law enforcement and has only resided in the County for a 2+ years. He has No experience in Sheriff related work which is more than being on a patrol and handling calls.
I have read Experience is the Best Teacher.
I now have 35 years experience in NH law enforcement almost 29 years has been with the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. The other years have been with Conway PD 4 yrs (full time), Effingham PD and Freedom PD (part time). I had also worked part time for Madison PD and Tamwoth PD while being a full time Deputy at the CCSO.
As you see all of my experience is in Carroll County law enforcement the majority with the CCSO.
I ask for your VOTE tomorrow to continue to be Your Carroll County Sheriff and to continue moving forward with experience and dedication.
