We love Tuesdays around here because we get to showcase our amazing staff with these posts! Meet Pancho, one of our Fi****ms Instructors!

How long have you been with Bristlecone?
I have been associated with Bristlecone for over 6 years since founding our Scouting Venture Crew in early 2017. I began training our Range Safety Officers over 5 years ago in September of 2018, and have been actively instructing here since July of 2020.

Why did you choose to work here?
While I have experienced dozens of ranges, Bristlecone’s inviting, friendly atmosphere made the decision easy. Bristlecone encourages families, youth, and beginners to either start on or continue on their journey through the exciting world of fi****ms. Our motto of providing an extraordinary recreational experience fit perfectly with my passion for teaching the next generation and beginners the safe & responsible usage of fi****ms. Plus, we have a robust advanced and tactical training program for more advanced shooters.

What do you carry?
G***k 9mm is my carry choice. I currently carry a G***k 34, but now that I have transitioned to a red dot, I don’t need the long sight radius of the 34 so am planning to move to the smaller/lighter G***k 19. I also carry the G***k 43 when deep concealment is needed.

Your favorite thing outside work?
Other than spending time with my family, I spend a lot of time volunteering for the Scouting program. I help facilitate a safe and responsible Scouting throwing and range sporting program at the local, Council and nationwide levels. This allows me to make a positive difference for hundreds of youth & young adults each year.

Best piece of advice for our customers
This is simple: PRACTICE FREQUENTLY! Shooting skills are perishable and if neglected, will deteriorate over time. So come to our range often and hone your skills whether it is for fun, competition, or protection. A great affordable way to do this is to become a summer member; this allows you to come use our range whenever it is open and you can make reservations along with numerous other benefits.
