🚨 ATTENTION MEMBERS — RESCHEDULED DATES! 🚨

Our annual Huerfano State Wildlife Area (HSWA) & BLM Trail Clearing has been rescheduled!

📅 Trail Clearing: Friday, September 11 & Saturday, September 12
🐴 Trail Bosses: Jerry Amrhein & Shawna Jarvis
There is a large meadow with plenty of room for several rigs, a creek running through the camping area with plenty of water for the horses, and two port-a-potties available.
Come join your fellow FRBCH members for a great weekend of giving back, working together, and helping keep these trails open and accessible!

Leaving your trash out? You’re making bears TOO comfortable around human spaces…

Bears are hungry and currently on the hunt for high-calorie food as they begin to fatten up for fall. As drought conditions limit natural foods, you may see more bears seeking food in urban areas, including looking for easily accessible food in trash. How can you help?

🗑️ Store trash inside a garage, shed, or other secure building whenever possible.
🗑️Use a bear-resistant trash container if available to you.
🗑️Put trash out the morning of pickup, not the night before.
🗑️Keep trash can lids tightly closed and latched.
🗑️Never leave bags of trash outside or next to your trash can.
🗑️Bring empty trash cans back inside as soon as possible after collection.
