💛 What an incredible moment.

Today, we had the honor of presenting a $3,000 check from the Little Locals Initiative to MAV Youth Mentoring!

This donation was made possible by the generosity of everyone who donated while attending the Little Locals Big Fun Carnival at the end of May and by the businesses & organizations that donated to this event & MAV to make it all happen.

To EVERYONE who donated, volunteered, hosted a booth, shared their time, and supported this event, thank you!!! Because of you, local kids will benefit from the incredible work MAV does in our community.

This is exactly what Little Locals is all about: bringing businesses, families, and organizations together to make a lasting impact for our kids.

We are so grateful for this community and can't wait to continue growing this initiative together.

Several students from the Celina Schools were the guests of the Celina Rotary Club as the focus of the regular meeting. Each academic month two students each from grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 are selected as Rotary Students of the Month by the staff and administration of Celina High School. These students introduce themselves to the Rotary members and enjoy lunch courtesy of the Celina Rotary Club. Once each student reaches their senior year they are eligible to apply to receive one of the four $2,000 Annual Rotary scholarships. Those who choose to attend WSU Lake Campus have an additional $1,000.

As a part of the program, Rotarian Elizabeth Muether presented them with a brief history of the Celina Rotary Club and challenged them to seriously consider becoming a member of a service club in the community they chose to reside in once they enter their professional lives. She reminded them that the Rotary motto is Service Above Self.
