This is a great example of how other ministries can partner with NeighborLink. Not only can individuals help those in need but ministries working together can reach even more people in need! Give this story a listen!

This past week, we had the opportunity to share at Grace Missionary Church about what God is doing through NeighborLink and the many ways He is working through our volunteers.

We were especially blessed to have two volunteers share their experiences serving in our community and the impact they have seen firsthand.

One story that stood out involved an elderly woman in our area who is homebound and has no family nearby. She reached out to NeighborLink looking for help with a few small projects around her home. One of our volunteers saw the request, contacted her, and arranged a time to stop by and help.

What started as a simple service project quickly became something much more.

As the volunteer worked, they spent hours talking together. The woman shared stories about her life, walked around the property pointing out different things, and talked about the projects she hoped to complete. Throughout the day, the volunteer continued asking how they could help and worked alongside her to clean up the yard and complete several projects.

But the most important thing accomplished that day was not the work itself.

The love of Christ was shown to a woman who simply needed someone to care. A relationship was formed. A connection was built. Today, they still stay in touch and regularly check in on one another.

This is the heart behind NeighborLink.

Our goal is not simply to complete projects. Our goal is to connect neighbors with neighbors, build meaningful relationships, strengthen our community, and encourage Christians to serve in the way God has called them.

Sometimes the greatest need is not a repaired home or a cleaned-up yard. Sometimes the greatest need is knowing that someone cares.

We are grateful for volunteers who are willing to answer that call.

At NeighborLink, our goal is to be an enablement of ministry for others. We exist to connect neighbors in need with the local church, because we believe the church is central to lasting, meaningful ministry. No ministry stands apart from the church, and we need that connection just as much as anyone we serve.

While we are always grateful for financial support and donations, we know that is only the beginning. True impact starts with Christ. Our focus is, and always will be, to glorify Him in all that we do.

We trust that the Lord is sovereign over all things and that we are just a small part of His greater plan. When we step in to serve, we are not just meeting a present need. We are participating in something much bigger, a story that stretches from the early church to believers today and into future generations who will continue to carry the Gospel forward.

Every act of service connects us to that mission, to share the love of Christ to the ends of the earth.

So today, we ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with us. Whether through serving, giving, or praying, you have a role to play in what God is doing through this ministry.

We would be honored to have you join us.

Soli Deo Gloria. 💙
