Animal Protection League of Mercer County Ohio APLMC is non profit organization that is run by volunteers only. We rescue dogs from kill shelters and try to assist families in rehoming pets.

Our organization is run completely by volunteers. We do not have a facility where we take dogs in, we run off of foster homes only. We try to rescue dogs from pounds and shelters in this area. We also try to help families that need to re-home their dogs. Our rescue takes in sick and injured dogs that come into the pound, so that they get immediate vet care and do not suffer. Murray is a 2 year old Aussidoodle. He weighs 85 lbs and is a big boy. Murray is super sweet and loves attention. He likes to swim in the pond and gets along with other dogs. He rides well in the car, walks good on a leash, and seems to be housetrained. Murray loves to play with toys too.

Murray has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention.

Teddy is a big lovable Saint Bernard/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. He is 10 months old and weighs 99 lbs. Teddy loves everyone and wants to be close to you. He walks good on a leash and gets along with other dogs. Teddy is wanting a family who loves to cuddle a gentle giant.

Oliver is a 3 year old Goldendoodle. He weighs 55 lbs and is a medium sized dog. He is such a good boy and very well mannered. Oliver is housetrained and good on a leash. He's a prettycalm dog, but he does need exercise and playtime. Oliver gets along with kids, cats, and other dogs. Please consider the grooming needed for doodles before applying.

Lanie is an 18 month old Pug mix. She weighs 32 lbs and is the sweetest girl. Lanie walks good on a leash and is housetrained. She gets along with dogs, cats, and loves kids. Lanie likes to be near you and will sleep at the foot of your bed. She doesn't bark much and is just a really good, well-mannered dog.

Lanie has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention.

Please share and help this girl make it back home!

Sweet female Husky mix was picked up south of Rockford. She weighs 45 lbs and is a medium sized dog. She is friendly, listens well, and knows quite a few commands. She didn’t have a collar or any identification on when she came in.

Has rescue!

She is a friendly girl and is estimated around 30 #. She was picked up over the weekend on East Livingston St In Celina. There was no identification on her and need the community's help getting her back home.

Adopted!

Andy is an adorable little 8.3 lb senior Pomeranian. The vet estimated him at 10 years old but we don't know his age for sure. He is very quiet, calm and sweet little senior dog. He doesn't see perfectly but he gets around okay. He would love a family who could spoil and love him for his remaining years. We have no prior history on Andy since he was picked up by the dog warden as a stray and brought to us. Andy is now in foster care and doing well. He goes outside to potty and sleeps a lot. He would make a good little companion for someone.

Andy had a vet exam, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention. He also had a dental.

Oakley is an 8 year old Goldendoodle. She weighs 65 lbs and is a large dog. Oakley is housetrained and cratetrained. She is active and will need a family who will play with her. Oakley walks good on a leash(except when she sees a squirrel) and is a sweetheart. She does shed some like her Golden Retriever side. Oakley gets along well with dogs her size and does great with kids. She would do best in a home without cats.

Oakley has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention.
