Celina Rotary Club

09/15/2026

Several students from the Celina Schools High School were the guests of the Celina Rotary Club as the focus of the regular meeting. Each academic month two students each from grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 are selected as Rotary Students of the Month by the staff and administration of Celina High School. These students introduce themselves to the Rotary members and enjoy lunch courtesy of the Celina Rotary Club. Once each student reaches their senior year they are eligible to apply to receive one of the four $2,000 Annual Rotary scholarships. Those who choose to attend WSU Lake Campus have an additional $1,000.

As a part of the program, Rotarian Elizabeth Muether presented them with a brief history of the Celina Rotary Club and challenged them to seriously consider becoming a member of a service club in the community they chose to reside in once they enter their professional lives. She reminded them that the Rotary motto is Service Above Self.

🌳 Celina Rotary is helping our community grow - one tree at a time! 🌳

Celina Rotary is proud to share that our Rotary District 6600 Grant application for the Celina Tree Project has been approved! 🎉

Through this grant, $20,250 in funding will support the Celina Tree Project’s efforts to plant trees throughout the Celina area, with a goal of planting 100 trees by May 2027.

This project is a great example of the impact that can happen when community organizations partner together. Celina Rotary recognized the importance of restoring our community’s tree canopy and worked with the Celina Tree Project to develop and submit the Rotary District 6600 grant application.

The Celina Tree Project is a volunteer-led initiative that provides free, professionally planted trees to eligible residents. The benefits go far beyond individual properties - more trees mean cleaner air, reduced heat, better stormwater management, improved pollinator habitat, and a more beautiful Celina for everyone.

We are proud to partner with the Celina Tree Project and grateful to Rotary District 6600 for helping us put this investment back into our community. 🌱

🌳 Know someone who would like a tree? Have them apply at:
👉 CelinaTrees.org/application

This is Rotary in action - building partnerships, investing in our community, and creating a lasting impact for generations to come.

We just got word that our grant application was approved! (More on that later!) That means we will be able to plant many more trees over the next year! Know someone who may be interested? Have them fill out an application at: https://CelinaTrees.org/application

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Celina Rotary is on the move! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Celina Rotary members were out this week volunteering at the annual Rotary Invitational Cross Country Meet! We’re proud to support our local student-athletes and be part of an event that brings schools and our community together.

A big thank-you to all of our Rotarians and their families who volunteered their time to help make the meet a success! 💙💛

Service Above Self! 🌟

TJ Fleck was our speaker today, sharing with us about the Gaga Ball Pit he constructed for his Eagle Scout project! Several Rotarians even tried their hand at the game—and there were definitely some smiles and a little competition! 😊

This is one project we were proud to support, and it was great to see TJ’s hard work and dedication come to life. Congratulations, TJ, on a fantastic Eagle Scout project! 🦅👏
