Be part of the solution—because there just aren’t enough of us. Be part of an extraordinary journey as we embark on our 50-state mission to document the incredible stories of cat and dog rescuers across the United States. As the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) filmmaker in the world, I dedicate my time and passion to creating impactful one-hour documentaries that shine a light on the unsung heroes saving
animals in need. Each state represents 60 days of filming, where I capture the raw, heartfelt moments of rescue operations, telling the stories that inspire change and compassion. From production to post-production, I handle every aspect of this work independently, driven by the vision to create a documentary series that makes a difference. By sponsoring one or more states, you can directly support this mission, covering the costs of filming and helping to share these incredible stories with the world. Your sponsorship will not only fuel this 10-year endeavor but also offer long-term visibility as we bring these stories to audiences nationwide. Together, we can raise awareness, support rescuers, and inspire action. If you’d like to join this mission, please reach out. Thank you for helping us make a difference—one state at a time! Cristian Ruben is a very unique filmmaker and documentarian. His single focus, his one mission, is to record the stories of individual rescuers and rescue groups in the trenches that help our Homeless Cats & Dogs, telling their stories with sometimes heartbreaking images of their journey to save the lives of our Pets. It is very obvious from watching interviews with Cristian, or speaking with Cristian, that his dedication to getting the dramatic pictures that are needed to inspire viewers to act come from a deep sense of love for our animals. Meaning, he feels their pain and through his excellent ability to capture dramatic scenes on camera, tries to make sure that viewers also can empathize with the plight of these animals. They are lost, abandoned, discarded, and left to fend for themselves in hostile environments. Thanks to Cristian Ruben, they are not forgotten. His 501(c)3 I Film Heroes (The Rescue Cat & Dog FilmMaker) was founded for the purpose stated above.
