We are getting ready for better days, like these!
In preparation for beautiful trails like these, we must do the dirty work that nobody sees. Looking for help this Saturday ( October 10th). We will meet at Little Buoy Bakery & Cafe for breakfast at 8am. We plan to leave our clubhouse by 9am.
Clubhouse is located on Blindline Rd in Cedarville, about 1½ miles north of M-134.

Gizmo is ready for winter.
Here at the Les Cheneaux Snowmobile Club, we are not. We need your help. The work bee last week did not go as planned. 3 people showed up and did what they could, but there's still a lot that needs to be done. If you can spare some time on Saturday morning and early afternoon, we would greatly appreciate it.
We will meet at our clubhouse on Blindline Rd in Cedarville this Saturday the 10th. We will try to leave as close to 9 as possible. If you would like breakfast before we go out, meet at the Little Buoy Bakery & Cafe at 8am. Breakfast is on us.

Finding the limits of the machine. Little wetter than planned, but got it out with help from the side by side.

We plan to open up and do brushing and signing on Trail 47 through the federal forest. Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather.

Day two signing on Trail 47 and trail 491. We covered lots of miles of trail, from replacing posts driven over to trees falling on them, to missing stop signs( I wish they would just ask for stop signs, we would give them some instead of putting people at risk ). Its starting to turn colors. Thanks to Steve Soule, Gary Cribley, Jim Luke, and Steve Grab for helping . One more short day and we'll have all if Bully # 18's trails covered.

Special thanks to Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative for funding 1/2 of our new club ORV. Also thanks to Dennis, Rich and the team at Chippewa Motors in Sault Saint Marie,Mi for their expert sales and service support. The new ORV will be used for ORV route maintenance and emergency response. We have already put the new ORV to good use maintaining our ORV routes.

What a long day. I can't thank this crew enough for the day they put in! My day started at 7 loading my skid steer and delivering it to the trail. Then to the clubhouse to load the club machine and brusher. After loading tools into the club Yamaha Viking (THANK YOU YAMAHA MOTORS!) the group headed out.
The group cleared heavy overgrowth and some rocks from Trail 476 into Hessel. This was long overdue. The guys got back to the clubhouse just before 6. We only had 1 minor casualty. That track will go back on without much trouble.
I'll go pick up the club skid loader in the morning.
Thanks again to Kevin, Dean, Mike, Rick, Kevin (Klinger 😁).
Also thanks to John for morning doughnuts, and Eileen for meeting us with sandwiches at lunch.

Save the date! This Saturday, September 19th, we will have our first trail clean up of the season. We will be ready to head out at 9am from our Cedarville clubhouse on Blindline Rd. Please come dressed for the weather. We should have plenty of tools needed for the task. If you have a favorite chainsaw, feel free to bring it along.
