EmPowering The Differently Enabled

EmPowering The Differently Enabled More to come. Our Mission

Provide practical everyday help through consultation, information and service for those living life with differently enabled people.

EmPowering the Differently Enabled will promote excellence in the "differently-enabled" individuals and their families with four roadmaps @ www.edehope.org.

1.Entrance Ramp – A Pathway to Hope. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. : Sharing the Gospel message

through Emily's motivational speaking, blogging, vlogging, writing a children’s book and Emily’s memoir/self-help book :

Emily's life verse:

“As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’ 3 ’Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ’but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.’” John 9:1-3 NIV

2. Plan your Road Map via your own Personal Achievement Council or PAC. A PAC is having your own Personal Board of Directors. Proverbs 15:22 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. The PAC's goal will be to provide a “road map” for families in the following areas:

● Spiritual

● Emotional

● Medical

● Educational

● Financial

● Transportation

● Develop Personal Care Teams: Create a written step-by-step daily care plan, weekly scheduling for flexibility, By-Laws for a strong team foundation and encouragement events to feed into the lives of those who are helping daily. Learn to advocate as a team with love and grace. Invite the local church to engage in practical ways of serving families--with healthy boundaries and a partnership established by the PAC.

3. Bridge To Independence: Durable Medical Equipment Showroom: Obtain, create or adapt existing Durable Medical Equipment - Proverbs 24:3 NLT By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established. Meet specific daily needs of individuals living with physical limitations. The DME showroom will have pediatric to adult size bath chairs, commode chairs, ceiling and floor lift systems and slings, standers, therapy equipment, wheelchairs and van with rear wheelchair lift.

4. Rest Area at Harriet's Hospitality House - 1 Peter 4:9 NLT Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay:

This respite house will be modified for those living with physical limitations, including an accessible bathroom, ceiling lift, etc. so they can try out and envision their own home modified to their needs. Other benefits will be a place to stay while we mentor and equip the family with the needed road map and tools for life back home. Local families may also come and stay for free that are simply in need of respite. Organizational Vision

Our vision is simple: That every differently enabled person and their families will find hope, no matter their situation, realize they can have a fulfilling life and even be able to laugh a little through the peace and power of Jesus. FOUR WAYS TO NAVIGATE THROUGH LIFE’S PROBLEMS WITH GOD & HIS WORD:

1. Look up and pray to God.

2. Look down and read His Word; the Bible.

3. Look back at His faithfulness and remember what God has done in the past for you.

4. Look at your circumstances through His eyes and perspective

May these tools help you see God at work, gain a heavenly perspective and deepen your relationship with God in faith journey this side of Heaven
