Every day, dogs sit behind kennel doors waiting.

Consider supporting your local animal shelter or rescue. Many local rescues and shelters are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, meaning your donations may be tax deductible while directly helping animals close to home.

The rescue and transport community is facing a storm surge of challenges. As prices continue to rise, more dogs and cats are being abandoned or surrendered. Shelters and rescues are overflowing, and some are being forced to consider euthanasia simply because they no longer have space or resources to continue care.

Animal transport has also become increasingly difficult. Rising fuel costs, overcrowded rescues, and limited placement options are making lifesaving trips harder to coordinate and sustain. Every mile now carries a heavier cost.

What can help turn the tide? Spaying and neutering remains the most effective way to reduce the number of stray and abandoned animals entering the system. Prevention is the strongest rescue tool we have.

🐾 Still Searching for Their Forever Ranch (or Couch!) 🐾

Meet Hank and Harry, two 2-year-old McNab brothers with big personalities and even bigger hearts 💙 These handsome herding dogs are still on the lookout for a place to call home.

🎾 Harry is the life of the party! He LOVES chasing balls… so much so that if nobody’s around, he’ll just toss it himself and keep the game going. Independent AND entertaining? That’s talent.

🧸 Hank, on the other hand, believes stuffed toys are meant to be… well… deconstructed. His favorite hobby is tossing them in the air, pouncing like a tiny rodeo bull, and carefully removing every last bit of stuffing. (Toy companies fear him. We admire him.)

Both boys are smart, active, and true to their herding roots. They’ll do best in a home that can give them space to run, play, and put their brains to work.

If you’re ready for loyalty, laughs, and a little bit of lovable chaos, Hank and Harry might just be your perfect match.
