The Woman's Building The Woman's Building is a National Registry site in Cedartown, GA built in 1935 All garbage must be removed from the premise. Only dripless candles are allowed.

Welcome to the Woman's Building, a working example of a volunteer legacy that we respect and hold dear. On February 5, 1935 a group of ladies, representing each of the women's clubs then in existence, met in the Hawkes Library to discuss plans for a community meeting place. The Cedartown Federated Women's Club became the inspiration, the Big Springs Park became the site, and native fieldstone line

d with pine became the building. The Woman's Building is suitable for events such as: meetings, weddings, rehearsals, receptions, showers, teas, piano recitals, family reunions, and church events.

• The Woman's Building is NOT to be used for dances, children (of any age) or youth parties, or for profit events.

• Alcohol/Drug/Tobacco/Smoke Free Environment.

• Sound equipment (including amplifiers, speakers, or instruments) is not allowed.

• Follow instructions regarding heat and air units that are on each end of the main room. Keep all outside doors closed.

• No janitorial service or garbage pick-up is furnished. Remember to take large trash bags.

• Complete all items on the "clean-up/lock-up" checklist.

• Building is to be cleaned, in order, and key returned on same date as rental date.

• Pictures and piano must be left in place. Furniture must remain inside the building. Furniture may be moved within the building. Handle carefully, do not stack, or place over vents. Return all folding tables and chairs to the storage closet. Do not place arrangements containing water or food items on the piano. Do not attach anything (including decorations) using nails, tacks, tape, non-mar adhesives on the walls, mantle, or furniture. The fireplace is not to be used. Reservations are made per day and are for the Woman's Building only. Reservations are not for the Big Spring Park area. There are 50 folding chairs; 12 tables that are 29x30x72. The kitchen has an electric range, refrigerator, sink, and large work table. No utensils provided. Contact the City of Cedartown, 770-748-3220 for information.

There are NO AVAILABLE Dates remaining for rental through May, 2022. The Woman's Building will not be available for use during June and July due to work being done at the building.

The Cedartown Federated Women’s Club has worked since 1936 along with the people of the community who use, love, and appreciate the Woman’s Building to maintain this National Registry building.
Please continue to care for the building by following the policies and NOT taking liberties like moving or attempting to move the Steinway grand piano or the original watercolor of the Big Springs that hangs over the fireplace.
All it takes is one group not following the policies to cause unrepairable damage.
If you want to decorate by attaching anything to walls or mantels, you will need to find another location to have your event.

The Woman’s Building can not be rented for any children or youth parties or events. This includes first birthday celebrations.
