Hi, all!
Itβs time to start planning for the 18th season of the Cedaredge Community Garden!
Our annual meeting has been set for February 28th at 10 am at the Grand Mesa Arts and Events Center.
At our annual meeting you will be able to pay your dues for your plot for this season at the rate of $40 per plot.
We also have lots of 4'x4' bins to rent as raised bed plots , 4 hoop houses and several other raised bed tubs. Costs vary.
At the meeting, we will update existing members on any changes to the garden, accept new members and go over any bylaws changes as needed.
We will also hold elections for all our officers.
I encourage you to consider helping by becoming an officer. We need a secretary and a treasurer. Secretary duties are light, as we seldom meet more that once or twice a year. The main task for the secretary is to keep the list of the members and which plot they are in. The treasurerβs roll is simply to work with the bookkeeper, who does all the accounting work for the garden. Again, a very simple position.
Officers have the use of 1 garden plot at no cost. The officers are the Board of Directors. The garden is a non profit organization so we must have a board of directors to be able to raise money and apply for grants to keep us going. So please consider helping as a board member.
Mostly, we want to see you at the Art Center to help us guide the garden through the next season. As you know, it has been a fairly dry winter and water restrictions and higher water rates are likely. So we all will work together to make the best of it!
See you at the Art Center on Feb 28!
