An excerpt from the article where two of our camp alumni were interviewed:
"A’Daris Washington, 15, of Waterloo, and JoJo Frost, 15, of Center Point, have been going to Hope Camp since its first adventure. Having aged out of the program, they’ve since started serving as junior counselors at the camp.

“I’ll probably keep going. Even when I get older, I think it’ll still be fun, a good experience, help out other people. That’s the main part, to help people,” Frost said.
Washington echoed his comments by saying it’s important to help out young people, and they’re both better suited to stay involved with Hope Camp having been through the same life experiences.
They both also recognize how far they’ve come in the years since attending Hope Camp by overseeing the youths who have come in their place."
