🔥🏅 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR AREA 11! 🏅🔥

The 2026 Special Olympics Michigan Summer Games were nothing short of incredible, and our Area 11 athletes showed up ready to compete, inspire, and make memories that will last a lifetime!

From the power and determination of our Powerlifting athletes, to the speed and heart displayed in Track & Field, to the precision and teamwork in Bocce, our athletes gave it everything they had.

🏊‍♂️ In the pool, our Swimming athletes raced with courage and confidence.
🏐 On the court, our Volleyball teams battled hard and played with heart.
🏓 Our Pickleball athletes brought the energy, sportsmanship, and championship mindset.
🤸‍♀️ Our Gymnastics athletes amazed us with their strength, skill, and grace.

But what made this weekend truly special wasn't just the medals. It was the friendships, the encouragement, the high-fives, the hugs, and the way our athletes cheered each other on every step of the way.

Area 11 represented what Special Olympics is all about: inclusion, courage, determination, and joy.

To our athletes, coaches, unified partners, volunteers, families, and supporters—THANK YOU for making this an unforgettable Summer Games.
