The Women's Equality Coalition of Linn County is a group of women and men dedicated to the preservation & advancement of women's rights, & the commemoration of the passage of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. We are the Women's Equality Coalition of Linn County, a group of women and men dedicated to the preservation and advancement of women's rights.

We believe in a society that values women and girls and empowers them with equal opportunities for participation. Each year we commemorate the anniversary of the August 26, 1920, passage of the 19th amendment giving American women the right to vote, an occasion we have celebrated in Linn County on this date since 1976. During our celebration, we honor women who have made a significant contribution to the lives of women and girls in Linn County as our Women of the Year, and announce the winner of the Nancylee Ziese Memorial Scholarship. To become a sponsor or for further information about our Equality Day Celebration or our organization, please contact: Anna Patty, Treasurer, (319-231-9582) or [email protected].
