A letter to the Cedar Rapids area AO members and fans -

Back in 2017 a few interested members tried to resurrect the CR AO group. It was starting to gain traction until the Trinidad n Tobago debacle. We tried to muster and maintain through the following summer's Women's World Cup Qualifying. But numbers at the viewing parties dropped to the point no-one was attending. Couple that with one of the Board members moving away and the others having life happen; and the board all but dissolved. Then the pandemic came. Now we're here in name only.

With the summer approaching, qualifying rounds for the men in process, the qualifying rounds for the women ahead and most of the area opening back up; we'd like to pose a question:

Is there any interest out there to once again try to resurrect the Cedar Rapids American Outlaw board? Anyone willing to step up and try to get things going again?

Take-aways from tonight's game vs Panama:
- USWNT will win their Group
- They looked crisp and efficient, despite swapping out 9 players from previous game
- Carli Lloyd is still (always?) a stud
- Rose Lavelle is a beast (this isn't new news either)

But the biggest takeaway from this is not the 5-0 scoreline, it's that Panama's 17 year old goalie is A-MAZ-ING!! I re-watched the game *just* to watch her again.

It’s time to get behind the USWNT!!

The United States Women’s National Team’s road to France will officially begin this coming week with the CONCACAF Women’s Championship.

At stake: a spot in the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.
In the way (group): Mexico, Panama, and Trinidad and Tobago.

They will play Trinidad and Tobago EXACTLY one year to the day after the USMNT’s "Catastrophe in Couva". This year, we seek to take October 10th back from the Soca Warriors.

All watch parties will be at Fieldhouse 1st Ave
