CR netWORK EMPOWER WEST SIDE KIDS A few weeks later the three of them had an exploratory meeting where they discussed the concept.

In September of 2008 Clint Twedt-Ball brought the concept of a giving circle for youth of the west side of Cedar Rapids to Chad Spore and Brian Christoffersen. The focus of that discussion: There is a huge need to empower youth in many different ways on the west side of Cedar Rapids. By the end of the discussion, the three were convinced that if an organization with this structure and vision existed, there would be a strong demand from people with ties to the west side to contribute. They also brainstormed on potential members to build a team that (1) would be passionate towards the cause and (2) would get it done. A month later, an initial group of eight individuals met for the first official board meeting and got to work.

CR netWORK is at a pivotal moment. For 18 years, we’ve supported westside Cedar Rapids youth — but declining membership now threatens our ability to continue.
We’re launching a critical revitalization period from Sept 15–Oct 30, and we need your help.

💛 Goal: 20 new memberships
💛 Goal: 4 new board members (Treasurer, Secretary, 2 at‑large)

If you believe in empowering local youth, now is the time to step forward.

J’s Closet Needs Your Help!

We are in desperate need of female hygiene items for our students. These essential items include bras, underwear, deodorant, and feminine hygiene items.

These items are critically important for our students who are experiencing instability or living in placement.

If you or someone you know is able to donate, please drop off items at Jefferson or reach out to us directly. Every single donation makes a real difference in a student’s day.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support, it truly means the world to our students.
