Big news Cedar Rapids. LOCO is proud to announce our partnership with Groundswell Cafe, a pay-it-forward eatery managed by local nonprofit Matthew 25.

Groundswell Cafe is committed to uniting the community around the simple joy of good, wholesome food and a warm, friendly environment. Through the generosity of customers’ tips and donations from the community, Groundswell Cafe serves free and reduced-cost meals to those in our community experiencing food insecurity.

And we're putting our money where our mouth is. LOCO will be waiving ALL delivery fees and processing fees for every order placed for Groundswell Cafe through our system. That's $8-12 off every single order. Because when you're doing good for this community the least we can do is make it easier.

At LOCO we have always believed that local comes first. Local restaurants. Local drivers. Local people. And Groundswell Cafe embodies that same spirit every single day. Two organizations. One shared mission. Keeping Cedar Rapids strong, fed, and community first. This is what we're building here. Groundswell Cafe is offering a special family-focused edition of Cooking for a Cause on Friday, June 12, from 5:30 - 7:30. This hands-on class is designed for one parent, grandparent, or caregiver to attend with a child, creating a unique opportunity to learn new kitchen skills together while giving back to the community.

Participants will work side-by-side learning skills like knife safety, flavor profiles, and working with dough. Best of all, the meals prepared during class will help support our Good Meals 2 Go program, providing affordable, nutritious meals through the Cultivate Hope Corner Store.
