Groundswell Cafe We connect people socially, reduce food insecurity, and provide a healthy eating opportunity for all. The cafe offers dine-in, take-out and catering orders.

The mission of Groundswell Cafe is to provide healthy meals for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Through a pay-it-forward model, any "tips" or donations received from guests are deposited into a fund that is then used to provide free or reduced-cost meals for those who are struggling. Groundswell Cafe emphasizes local, healthy food, with as many of the ingredients as possible supplied

by what Matthew 25 grows less than a mile away at the Cultivate Hope Urban Farm, and the rest is sourced from local and organic suppliers. The cafe and the event space next to it are available to rent for meetings or events. Learn more at: https://www.GroundswellCafe.org

Groundswell is an initiative of local nonprofit Matthew 25 and is located next to the Matthew 25 office at 201 Third Ave, SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404

It’s Everybody Eats Week at Groundswell Cafe! 🍽️❤️

Right here in Iowa, 1 in 8 people face food insecurity. This week, we’re coming together to help make sure more of our neighbors have a healthy meal when they need one.

Our goal is to raise $1,500 for Groundswell’s Pay-it-Forward Fund.

Join us by stopping in for breakfast or lunch and leaving a Pay-it-Forward tip or make a donation directly online to the fund at https://www.matthew-25.org/groundswell/donate/

Every meal and every gift help us keep the tradition of neighbors sharing with neighbors going strong.
