Groundswell Cafe We connect people socially, reduce food insecurity, and provide a healthy eating opportunity for all. The cafe offers dine-in, take-out and catering orders.

The mission of Groundswell Cafe is to provide healthy meals for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Through a pay-it-forward model, any "tips" or donations received from guests are deposited into a fund that is then used to provide free or reduced-cost meals for those who are struggling. Groundswell Cafe emphasizes local, healthy food, with as many of the ingredients as possible supplied by what Matthew 25 grows less than a mile away at the Cultivate Hope Urban Farm, and the rest is sourced from local and organic suppliers. The cafe and the event space next to it are available to rent for meetings or events. Learn more at: https://www.GroundswellCafe.org

Groundswell is an initiative of local nonprofit Matthew 25 and is located next to the Matthew 25 office at 201 Third Ave, SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404

We are excited for tomorrow night!

We have just a few reservations left for Night Out at Groundswell tomorrow evening, October 16! ❤️

If you or someone you know would enjoy a special night out but doesn't often have the opportunity, we'd love to welcome you! This evening is all about sharing a wonderful meal, warm hospitality, and time together, completely free of charge.

Call 319-200-2794 as soon as possible to reserve one of the remaining spots!

And a special shout-out to some incredibly talented local chefs who are generously sharing their time and talents to make this evening extra special! Thank you to Chef Chris CC Vurciaga, Chef Mon Sayasit, Chef Anthony Leonard, and others who have stepped up to help. We're so grateful for your generosity and community spirit!
