Tips to help with your symptoms of SAD:

Light therapy
Medication (antidepressants)
Therapy
Exercise (walking, swimming, yoga, etc.)
Eat well
Be gentle with yourself

Labor Day was created to recognize workers' rights and achievements, stemming from a time of poor working conditions, poor wages, and long hours. It became a federal holiday in 1894.

Not so fun fact last federal minimum wage increase in the United States occurred on July 24, 2009. When the federal minimum wage was raised from $6.55 to $7.25 per hour, where it has remained ever since.

You can request your absentee ballot for Iowa!

Today is the first day Iowans can request mail-in absentee ballots for the General Election on November 5th.

It's important to request early so you can ensure your ballot is returned to your county auditor's office by the time polls close on Election Day.
