We’re so excited to officially welcome Jessica to the Hopeful Mama Foundation Board of Directors!

Jessica has been part of HMF as our Creative Director, bringing her creativity, thoughtfulness, and heart to so much of what we do. From helping shape how we share our story to bringing our vision to life through design, her impact on HMF has been felt in countless ways.

Now, we’re grateful to have her bringing that same perspective and passion to our Board of Directors.

Jessica, thank you for believing in Hopeful Mama Foundation, for sharing your gifts with us and for being part of the heart behind this organization. We’re so lucky to have you.

Some seasons ask you to make plans while others ask you simply to keep going. If all you can do today is take the next step, let that be enough.

Your life does not have to look the way you imagined for it to still become something deeply meaningful and beautiful.

Another library is making space for more stories, more conversations, and more families to see themselves reflected on the shelves.

We’re so excited to welcome Fairfax Public Library to the Hopeful Families Collection, made possible through the generous support from the Cedar Rapids Kiwanis Club and Foundation 🎉

Through this collection, we’re bringing inclusive children’s books about infertility, donor conception, adoption, surrogacy and different paths to building a family into Iowa libraries and communities.

Thank you, Fairfax Public Library, for helping us make that possible. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the Hopeful Families Collection!

Healing may mean learning that you can carry what happened to you without letting it become the only thing you carry.

There will be days when infertility feels like the loudest part of your story, and other days when it becomes one chapter among many.

Be sure you make room for the life that exists beyond the waiting.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to honor the babies who are loved and missed, the families forever changed by loss, and the grief that often goes unseen.

Behind “I’m fine” may be a parent missing the baby they wish were in their arms.
Behind a smile may be heartbreak that others don’t see.
Behind showing up every day may be a grief that never truly leaves.

Sometimes, we hide our feelings because we don’t know how to explain them. We worry about making others uncomfortable, feel pressure to be strong, or wonder if anyone truly understands.

We’ve learned that grief doesn’t have a timeline. You don’t have to be okay every day.

At Hopeful Mama Foundation, you don’t have to hide how you feel. Whether you’re navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, or the loss of an infant, your feelings are valid and you deserve support.

Our question for you: What do you wish others understood about the emotions you carry behind the mask?
