October is Italian American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich history, traditions, and contributions of Italian Americans to our communities and our country!

FUN FACT! Did you know that more than 16 million Americans reported Italian ancestry in the 2022 U.S. Census Bureau survey? That's a whole lot of family traditions, stories, and recipes being passed down through generations! 🇮🇹✨

Here's to learning from one another and celebrating the stories that connect us all! ❤️🤍💚

Did you know the first recorded presence of Filipinos in what is now the continental United States dates back to October 18, 1587? Filipino American History Month was first celebrated in 1992 to recognize this long history and honor the generations of Filipino Americans who have helped shape our nation. 🇺🇸🇵🇭

🤓𝗙𝗨𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧:
The Philippines is an archipelago made up of more than 7,000 islands, with diverse regional traditions, languages, foods, and celebrations. Talk about a world of things to discover!

💙 Why it matters: Learning about different cultures helps our students grow in understanding, kindness, and appreciation for the many stories that make up our community. Every culture has something meaningful to share, and every family helps make Reagan special!

This month, we encourage our Reagan Rays to ask questions, explore new traditions, and celebrate the beautiful diversity around us. 🌈
