Our club is celebrating a double victory—1st place in BOTH Division K contests!
🏆 Sureshkumar Kamalanathan – 1st Place, International Speech Contest
With a speech that was powerful, polished, and perfectly paced, he inspired and delighted the audience.
🏆 Glenn Nielsen – 1st Place, Evaluation Contest
With sharp insight, thoughtful analysis, and well-timed humor, he delivered an evaluation that was as constructive as it was encouraging.

Congratulations to Sureshkumar Kamalanathan, winner of the International Speech Contest, and Glenn Nielsen, winner of the Evaluation Contest at the Toastmasters Area K-73 Contest held in March.
Suresh and Glenn have advanced to the Division K Contest, which will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, at Dolce Koinonia in Georgetown, TX.
We are so proud of them and wish them the very best of luck and continued success as they represent our club at the Division level!

What a fantastic Open House at Toastmasters today!

We had a beautiful blend of depth and laughter—
One speech touched on the important topic of mental health, while the other had us in splits talking about food obsessions (and cravings we totally relate to!).

And the Table Topics? Oh, they were a riot!
With an April Fools' theme, each speaker shared 2 lies and 1 truth about themselves—and the audience had to guess. Let’s just say… we learned some very interesting things about each other! 😀

Thanks to everyone who joined us—new guests, returning members, and brave impromptu speakers.

A huge round of applause for our amazing contestants who lit up the stage with their words and presence! ✨

🥈 Yogita Singh clinched 2nd place in the International Speech Contest with a powerful, heartfelt performance that resonated with all.

Congratulations to Shipra Agrawal, winner of the Tall Tales Contest, and Yogita Singh, winner of the International Speech Contest, at the Toastmasters Area Level Contest, that was held on March 8th!

Both have advanced to the Division Level Contest, and we look forward to supporting them in the next round.

Lakeline Toastmasters continues to be a strong learning ground for aspiring speakers, providing a supportive environment to refine communication and leadership skills.

What an electrifying contest night at Lakeline Toastmasters on Feb 7, 2025! We witnessed incredible speeches, creativity, and storytelling at our International Speech and Tall Tales Contests! 👏

International Speech Contest Winners:

Yogita Singh - 1st Place
Nichelle Nelson - 2nd Place
Brendan Grace- 3rd Place

Tall Tales Contest Winners:

Shipra Agarwal - 1st Place
Bill Carr - 2nd Place

The 1st place winners will represent our club at the Area Contests on March 8.

A huge congratulations to all our contestants for their outstanding performances! Their speeches inspired us, and their Tall Tales left us in awe.
