🍊 Love Your Citrus? So Do We.

Texas citrus contributes more than $200 million to our state’s economy and protecting it starts with all of us.

From retailers and landscapers to homeowners and arborists, we each play a role in helping stop the spread of citrus disease in Texas. That’s why TNLA created our Love Your Citrus resources and downloadable brochure to help educate Texans on:
✔️ Signs of citrus disease
✔️ Safe purchasing & movement guidelines
✔️ Quarantine awareness
✔️ Best practices for citrus health

One of the many benefits of being part of TNLA is access to educational tools and industry resources that help protect and strengthen Texas horticulture.

Many professionals in the green industry are expected to lead teams, manage people, solve problems, and communicate effectively…without ever being formally taught how to do it.

That’s why the TNLA Foundation created TNLA Leadership Bootcamp.

This program was designed to help professionals build confidence as leaders, strengthen communication skills, improve team accountability, and learn practical tools they can immediately apply within their businesses.

But one of the biggest benefits?

The connections, mentorship, and conversations that continue long after the program ends.

As 2023 graduate Rachel Shelton shared:

“Leadership Bootcamp truly helped shape my outlook on what it means to be a leader. The course sharpens the tools already in your toolbox while identifying and strengthening areas that need improvement.

The insights provided by professionals who focus on building successful teams and individuals were incredibly valuable. The mentorship partnership established through the course is invaluable, and I continue to use the tools and resources provided as my career and role develop.”

Applications are now open for TNLA Leadership Bootcamp Class VI.

📅 Deadline to Apply: June 11, 2026

In past years, TNLA supported the Texas Water-Efficient Products Sales Tax Holiday by creating promotional graphics, flyers, and retailer participation lists for members.

As member marketing needs have evolved, TNLA shifted to providing year-round marketing support through our Embrace Your Space toolkit. 🌿

Members now have access to:
✔ Ready-made social media graphics
✔ Pre-written captions
✔ Flyers & posters
✔ Short videos
✔ Monthly content calendars
✔ Step-by-step posting instructions for Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn

These resources were created to help Texas garden retailers, growers, landscapers, irrigators, suppliers, and green industry businesses consistently promote their services, connect with customers, and save time on marketing throughout the year.

Today, we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, mentors, caregivers, and women helping grow both families and our industry. 🌸

From nurseries and garden centers to offices, crews, greenhouses, and beyond, thank you for the care, dedication, and hard work you bring every day.

We’re especially grateful for the incredible women on the TNLA team who work year-round to support our members and strengthen the green industry.

This week, TNLA members traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for Texas’ green industry during the annual H-2B Fly-In.

From landscaping and irrigation to nursery production and horticulture, workforce challenges continue to impact businesses across Texas. Our members met directly with Congressional offices to discuss the importance of reliable workforce solutions and the real-world effects labor shortages have on projects, customers, and year-round employees.

These conversations matter because advocacy helps ensure that the people making decisions understand what businesses in our industry face every day.

We’re proud of the members who took time away from their businesses, teams, and families to represent Texas on Capitol Hill and help move our industry forward.

Thank you to the Congressional offices who took the time to meet with TNLA members this week.
