Most advocacy work happens long before a vote is ever taken.

Recently, TNLA identified an Austin City Council directive exploring potential regulations on noise from non-vehicular motors and engines operating in the public right of way.

While no specific restrictions have been proposed, landscape maintenance equipment was part of the discussion.

That's why TNLA got involved early, bringing landscape professionals, arborists, fleet managers, and field operators to the table to help policymakers understand how potential regulations could impact businesses, employees, and customers.

This is what advocacy looks like:
✔ Monitoring issues before they become regulations
✔ Bringing industry expertise to decision-makers
✔ Making sure the green industry has a voice

Because protecting our industry starts before an ordinance is ever written.

The TNLA Board of Directors recently gathered for its annual June Board Meeting to discuss the future of the association and identify ways to continue serving and strengthening Texas’ green industry.

Board members spent time reviewing key initiatives, discussing industry priorities, and planning for the years ahead as part of their ongoing commitment to TNLA members and the industry we represent.

In addition to the meeting, board members had the opportunity to visit several industry businesses, including TNLA member ICL Growing Solutions in North Charleston, South Carolina, as well as Magnolia Plantation and Gardens and Roots and Shoots Nursery. These visits provided valuable opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, and gain insights from businesses serving and supporting the green industry.

Thank you to our amazing board members for their leadership, service, and dedication to advancing the Texas green industry.
