The Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter, Holy Royal Arch Masons of Texas is a non-profit organization that embody an attractive system of morality, veiled in allegory, and illustrated by symbols. The fraternity, founded by Christian principles established in the Holy Bible, strives to teach a man the duty he owes to God, his neighbor, and to himself; but interferes neither with religion or po
litics as it prescribes the practice of virtues in the conduct of business. Character is their foundation, making “Good Men Better.”
Service is their purpose, which is rendered to the people of Texas to improve their social, cultural, and economic conditions. The Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter is a fraternity of good men, linked and bound together by honorable and unbreakable bonds of friendship and virtue, and to accomplish the noble purpose it eschews all interest in fractional politics and sectarian religion and free from dictation of both. The organization advances the moral and social interests of its membership; to cultivate the exercise of charity in its best and broadest sense; to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and bind the wounds of the afflicted; to assist the Widows and Orphans of its deceased Companions; to stimulate friendship, harmony and brotherly love and generally, to promote in its own way, the happiness of mankind. The Most Excellent Prince Hall Grand Chapter was charted on July 7, 1914 and possesses 17 subordinate Chapters.
