What a fantastic afternoon for Pack 838! To celebrate Arbor Day, our Scouts traded their handbooks for shovels and helped add some fresh green to our Cedar Grove Free Public Library.

A huge THANK YOU to the Cedar Grove DPW for doing the heavy lifting and setting our Scouts up for success. We couldn't have done this without your expertise and prep work! We also want to extend our gratitude to the Township of Cedar Grove for continuing to support Scouting and giving our kids the chance to practice "Conservation Good Turns" in their own backyard.

It was also great to have the Boy Scouts from Troop 65 join us today! It’s always inspiring for our younger Cubs to work alongside the older Scouts—thanks for the extra muscle and the great example you set.

These trees will be here for years to come, and our Scouts can walk by them and know they helped make our community a little bit better today.

What an amazing experience today!

Three of our scouts got to go to the Lenape Trail District - Offical Page Pinewood Derby!

Our Webelos Scout took home a second place trophy for his rank!

But, our Bear Scout took home 1st place in for his rank AND 1st for FASTEST CAR!

On to the Grand Prix on April 25th!!!

Congratulations to our three scouts! You truly *did your best* today. You were *brave* for showing up to such a big event!

A huge thank you to the Cedar Grove High School Robotics Team for coming out to our Blue and Gold Banquet!

The Scouts (and let’s be honest, the parents too) were absolutely blown away by the demonstration. Being able to actually drive the robots, pick up balls, and target that bucket was the undisputed highlight of the afternoon!

"A Scout is Curious" — and you certainly sparked a lot of curiosity and excitement for STEM in our Pack today.

It’s awesome to see local leaders in our community showing our Scouts what’s possible with teamwork, creativity, and a lot of cool gears. You guys are welcome back at Pack 838 anytime!

I want to send out my sincere thanks to all the scouts who participated in our Scouting for Food Event this week! We collected 30 bags of food that has been donated to the Little Free Pantry by Community Church with the rest being donated to local food banks in CG and Little Falls.

Your effort to ask your neighbors for donations helps feed our community!

What an amazing view seeing all the tents and Cub Scouts recurrent and new having a great time at Pack 838's kick off to the new Cub Scouting year!
A few of our Den Leaders have started to have den meetings or are planning for one soon. If your child is interesting in joining a den meeting, comment below their grade and Cubmaster Jeff to put you in touch with the correct Den Leader!

Tonight's the night! Pack 838's new scouting year kicks off tonight at Morgan's Farm. Come on down at 6:30pm and meet our Cubmaster, Den Leaders, current Cub Scouts to show all those new Cub Scouts the exciting adventures we'll be having this year. And as a bonus, if you want to stay the night, bring your tent and sleeping bag. Great way to have a first camping trip in your own backyard. Can't wait to see old and new faces tonight! Tell everyone you know to come!

If you haven't heard the news, Pack 838 is back for a new Cub Scouting Year! Come on out this Friday, September 19th to Morgan's Farm at 6:30pm and meet our Cubmaster, Den Leaders, current and new Cub Scouts! It's never to late to join at any grade level to learn amazing life skills and make lasting friendships!
