See the approved amendments to the proposed Orange County 2026-2027 budget.

The Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved several proposed amendments to the Manager's Recommended FY 2026-27 Budget during its June 4 work session. The approved amendments will be incorporated into the proposed budget.
Following approval of the amendments, the BOCC also adopted a Resolution of Intent to Adopt the FY 2026-27 Budget.
County Manager Travis Myren’s recommended General Fund budget totaled $325.1 million. The approved amendments added $1,935,362, bringing the amended budget total to $327,066,083. The amended property tax rate would be 68.05 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
The BOCC is scheduled to take its final vote on the budget and consider formal adoption on June 16.
Orange County conducted an extensive public engagement process for the FY 2026-27 budget, including two public hearings, four work sessions, and three information sessions designed to answer residents’ questions and gather community feedback.

Impacts of proposed and future data center development on local NC communities reigned in by revised legislation being considered in the current legislative session.
