The Out of the Darkness walk is not only for students of UNI! We would love to see community members, businesses, faculty, and staff join us to support su***de prevention. This is the only Out of the Darkness event in our area, and we want to show up and show our support for our friends, family, coworkers, and students who may be struggling. Bring your family and friends and help us promote this event on your own social media!

We are a little over a month away from the UNI Out of the Darkness Campus Walk. This is the perfect time to register and involve your families and friends! The event will be held on the UNI campus with community organizations, food, a walk, community, and conversation about how we can better support those around us.

The Out of the Darkness T-Shirt sale is live and the order forms close on Saturday February 28, 2026! Make sure to get your orders in before the order form closes.

Shirts are bought in support of su***de prevention efforts on UNIs campus, as well as in support of the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP).

Shirt sizes range from small-3xl and are only $15 each.

As UNI starts off the new year with new classes we would like to invite you to join us for the 2026 UNI Out of the Darkness Campus Walk. This year the walk will happen on Saturday April 11, 2026 with doors opening at 12:30 for a snack bar, meet and greet with community organizations, and other activities to support the research and mission of AFSP. Speakers from the community and AFSP will set the tone for the walk and the walk will begin at 1:45.
