Today marks my first official day as President of the Iowa BPW Foundation, and I couldn’t be more excited!

As we kick off the 2026–2027 fiscal year, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the talented, dedicated women who serve as trustees, committee members, and leaders of this amazing organization. Together, we have the opportunity to support scholarships, strengthen our Foundation, and continue making a positive impact across Iowa.

One thing I’ve learned is that everyone stays connected a little differently. Some of us love meetings, some of us love emails, and some of us only remember to check Facebook after we’ve watched three dog videos and a recipe we’ll never make. 😊 My goal this year is to keep everyone informed and engaged through a variety of channels while respecting the fact that we’re all balancing busy lives.

A huge thank you to everyone serving in leadership and on committees this year. Your time, talents, and commitment make our work possible.

Here’s to a year of collaboration, growth, scholarships, fundraising successes, and making a meaningful impact. Great things happen when dedicated women work together, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish in 2026-2027!

The Iowa Business and Professional Women (BPW) Foundation is proud to announce the award of four $1,500 scholarships to outstanding nontraditional students across the state. These exceptional recipients were formally recognized at the Annual Awards Luncheon in Des Moines on April 25th, where their achievements, determination, and commitment to personal and professional growth were celebrated.

Through its education program, the Iowa BPW Foundation remains dedicated to supporting nontraditional students who are seeking to further their education or obtain new skills to reach the next level in their careers. These scholarships are designed to empower recipients as they balance work, life, and educational goals.

Each spring, scholarships are awarded to non-traditional students who are already in the workplace and want to attend school to further their education or receive the training necessary to advance their careers in business and professions.
