Teachers receive a stipend each year to enrich their classrooms. We also purchase new books for classrooms at our book fairs. Recently, we provided ukuleles for our music classroom and a much needed storage shed for our Pre-K teachers and students. We love sponsoring field trips, the yearbook, safety patrol, and family movie nights. Telling teachers “thank you” and appreciating them throughout the
year is an easy and fun job to do. In the past, we have facilitated Selling Candygrams, where students can send encouraging messages to each other along with a candy cane. Resurfacing the playground was our most recent multi-year project. We completed our goal of raising $80,000 and now our kids have a safe surface to play on. Our goal is to continue finding ways to raise funds that are effective and engaging for our Southdale Families.
