Who wrote the song Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer?
In May, 1963 the award winning Nat King Cole released his album Lazy Hazy Days of Summer, with the album reaching #14 on the Billboard charts, and the opening track of the same name reaching #3 on the popular song list. But, it was originally written under german lyrics by Hans Bradtke, and recorded in 1962 by W***y Hagara, a well-known Austrian pop singer and actor. But Nat King Cole gets all the recognition!
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer,
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer.
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer,
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer.
While we celebrate these remaining days of summer, mark your calendar for our Young Advisors Team Happy Hour on Thursday, Sept. 17 at Source Farmhouse Brewery, Colts Neck (https://hubs.ly/Q04tMt_00). Drinks and light dinner are on us from 4pm - 6pm!
