It’s Feel Good Friday, and today we want to take a moment to say thank you to our incredible volunteers!

This week, our volunteers showed up with generous hearts, helping hands, and a commitment to serving our community. Whether they were sorting donations, stocking shelves, preparing meals, helping neighbors, or supporting the day-to-day work that keeps Iron County Care and Share moving, their time and care made a real difference.

We are so grateful for the people who choose to give their energy, compassion, and time to support our mission.

Thank you, volunteers! We couldn’t do this work without you.

It’s Throwback Thursday and International Picnic Day, so we’re looking back at one of our past golf tournaments and all the fun, food, and community that made it such a great day on the green!

This year, we’re excited to keep that tradition going with Lucky 14, our 14th annual golf tournament!

We’re also thrilled to share that Ala Chelle Catering will be providing food for this year’s event!

Good food, great company, and a meaningful cause. What more could you ask for?

Join us for Lucky 14 and help support Iron County Care and Share’s mission to provide compassionate support and essential resources to individuals and families in need.

🚧 Temporary Pantry Hour Changes Due to Road Construction 🚧

Dear friends and pantry guests,

As many of you may have noticed, road construction is currently taking place around our facility. To ensure the safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff, we will be operating under temporary adjusted hours this week only (June 16–18).

📅 Updated Pantry Hours:
✅ Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
✅ Wednesday: By appointment only (after 3:30 PM)
✅ Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We understand these changes may be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while this work is being completed. Please allow extra travel time and watch for construction signage when visiting.

If you have questions or need to schedule a Wednesday appointment, please contact us.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work through these temporary disruptions. ❤️

Road Construction Update – Please Plan Ahead

We have received updated information regarding the slurry seal road work taking place near our facility this week. While all timelines remain estimates and could change, here is what we know at this time:

Tuesday: The side of the road nearest the cemetery will be completed. Our parking lot should remain accessible for most of the day, though visitors may experience delays due to construction equipment in the area.

Wednesday: This is expected to be our most impacted day. The side of the road where our buildings are located will be under construction, which means access to our parking lot may be unavailable from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Thursday: The center portion of the road will be completed. We are uncertain how much traffic will be able to pass through, so there may be periods when access to our site is limited.

Please note that these times are estimates and may change depending on the progress of the work and curing times.

We understand this may create challenges, especially for those accessing pantry and shelter services. We are working on a plan to extend pantry hours on one or more days to ensure community members can still receive the food they need. We will share those details as soon as they are finalized.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we navigate circumstances beyond our control.
Please continue to monitor our page for updates before visiting our site this week.

We're still smiling after our recent Resource Fair, which was a tremendous success!

More than 30 local businesses, organizations, and community partners joined us to share valuable information, services, and opportunities with members of our community. We were also blessed with an incredible group of volunteers whose hard work helped make the event run smoothly from start to finish.

Events like this remind us just how fortunate we are to live in a community filled with people and organizations dedicated to helping their neighbors.

To every vendor who set up a booth, every volunteer who gave their time, and every community member who attended: thank you.
Your willingness to serve, educate, and connect with others is what makes events like this possible.

Please enjoy a few photos from the day and help us celebrate the many organizations working to make Iron County a stronger, healthier, and more connected community! 🥳

With more than 30 participating vendors, we're bound to miss a few tags. If you recognize an organization, business, or community partner in the photos, please tag them in the comments so we can help give them the recognition they deserve!

Lately it feels like we've been asking for help quite a bit, but the truth is that community support is what makes our work possible.

Every meal we provide, every family we serve, and every shelf we keep stocked is possible because people in our community choose to help.

Right now, our most urgent needs are:

Canned beans
Canned tomatoes
Pasta
Rice

If you can spare an item or two during your next shopping trip, we'd be incredibly grateful.

Donations can be dropped off at
