We have great news on our IGP radio show this Tuesday on The Big Picture Morning Show at 6:30 AM. KSUB 590 AM. Care and Share owns 2.4 acres behind the current shelter. They have received a grant from the state of Utah. They will build 8 to 10 micro-shelters (tiny homes). They will be used for emergency shelters and transitional housing. If you miss the show you can go to www.cedarcityrotaryclub.org . All shows taped since March 2023 are there. We have been on the air since 2017. Hard to believe, we asked for 20 shows and never stopped.

Many of you know Rotary has been involved in reducing poverty for many years. Through the IGP committee and the weekly radio show on much services that are needed by folks in crisis. Did you know that children who age out of Foster Care, the state of Utah will pay for their education. Ages are 18 to 25. Here are the links to that support. We should make this happen!!

On our IGP radio show to be broadcast Tuesday morning April 14 at 6:30 am Tim and I interview Heidi Rugg, Director of Youth Futures and Transitional Housing and Rory Adams the Case Manager for Transitional Housing. Rory works with homeless students as they transition into society. Heidi manages Youth Futures four locations in Utah. Homeless students from age 12 can find a safe place to stay. Lots of great information.

On our IGP radio show Tuesday morning at 6:30 am March 31 on 590 AM KSUB-Southern Utah News Leader Time & I interview James Jetton, Director of Iron County Care and Share. The needfor food is great and growing as is additional shelter facilities in the form of Tiny Homes on the current property. The second segment deals with a seeming state grant approval, that has seemed to disappear. Thanks to Rex Shipp for jumping in to help.

The program at our club meeting this week was having past presidents of our club speak and tell of the accomplishments of the club and its members during their years. It was amazing how much has been accomplished for good!
