Wishing you and your loved ones a warm and restful Thanksgiving from the Friends of St. Albert Public Library 💚

Today, we’re especially grateful for the wonderful community we call home, the joy of reading, and the connections that bring us together. 🧡

Friends connecting with Friends! 💚

This past Saturday, members of the Friends of St. Albert Public Library joined Friends groups from across the Greater Edmonton region for a day of conversation, idea-sharing and learning in Spruce Grove.

We loved connecting with volunteers from Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Devon and Strathcona County, and came home with plenty of inspiration and new ideas to explore!

The Friends have joined Alberta Friends of Libraries, a new peer network for Friends groups across our province to connect and share ideas

A big thank you to the Friends of Spruce Grove Public Library and Spruce Grove Public Library for hosting us!

After over 20 years of service to the Friends of St. Albert Public Library, Sandy Fildes has retired from her Secretary role. We are truly grateful for her exceptional service to the Friends and to St. Albert Public Library!

Sandy joined the Friends in December 2005. She served as the Secretary for many years, diligently taking minutes and contributing to every meeting. Sandy has always been one to raise her hand to help out, whether by taking tickets at the door, handing out cake, or helping to set up for a fundraiser. She continues to be a bright and positive light for everyone in her life.

Thank you, Sandy! From all of us at the Friends of the Library 📚
