Exact same bottle. One gets redeemed for 5-cents & recycled, while the other ends up in the landfill.
We need to expand the bottle bill to include more beverages in the deposit system, like this iced tea! Its common sense to pass the Bigger Better Bottle Bill! ♻️⭐️

Fabius-Pompey!!! We found these keys in last weekend’s After Prom Bottle Drive donations: we’re sending them to the school to hopefully find the owners!

Today is Global Recycling Day!!

Great time to remind you What We Take:
NY 5¢ stamped beverage containers: including beer, water, soda & seltzers. In plastic, glass and aluminum containers.
**Containers should be Clean, Intact, & Bar Code Readable. No crushed containers, broken glass, containers with missing labels or excessively dirty containers**

What we DON’T take: milk, coffee, tea, cider & hard cider, sports drinks, lemonade, canned cocktails, gallon jugs, food containers or other recycling.
AND any container NOT purchased in NY.
This is all NYS law and not at our discretion.

Did you know? NY has been dragging their feet on expanding the covered beverage containers for over a decade: contact your Governor, Assemblyman and Senator to encourage them to pass the Bottle Bill!!!!

HUGE THANKS to the Caz HS Environmental Club for helping us spread awareness of the State's failure to maintain the Bottle Bill!!

* no changes since 2009! That's literally before these advocates were BORN!!!
* stagnant pay for redemption centers = over 200 closures across the state in just the last 2 years. It's simple: can't pay 2025 bills with 2009's paycheck.
* new products not covered by the bill = customer confusion leading to unpaid labor and waste issues.

A large point of confusion is our handling fee. This is NOT the deposit, nor a portion of the Deposit. It is a fee paid to us by the distributors (ex: pepsi/coke) for the work we do to collect their product.

Our neignbors in Chittenago, Canastota, Minoa, etc have already shut down. Without a handling fee increase, it is only a matter of time before we join that list too.
