Today we celebrate the dads, grandpas, stepdads, father figures, and mentors who help make our community strong. From early morning surf checks and fishing trips off the pier to cheering from the sidelines and lending a helping hand, fathers play an important role in shaping the memories that make Cayucos such a special place.

Whether you're spending the day with family, enjoying a meal at one of our local restaurants, or taking a stroll along the beach, we wish all the fathers in our community a wonderful and relaxing Father's Day.

Today marks the first day of summer, and there's no better place to spend it than right here in Cayucos.

Longer days, beach walks, salty air, stunning sunsets, family adventures, ice cream cones, shopping downtown, fresh seafood, and afternoons spent watching the waves from the pier. Summer in the Last Little Beach Town is all about slowing down and making memories.

❤️🖤💚 Honoring Juneteenth ❤️🖤💚

Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of opportunity for all.

Observed each year on June 19, Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Here in Cayucos, we are grateful to live in a community where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate, support local businesses, enjoy our public spaces, and create lasting memories. Juneteenth serves as a reminder that freedom, community, and inclusion are values worth honoring and preserving.

As we gather with family and friends, enjoy our beautiful coastline, and celebrate the unique character of the Last Little Beach Town, we also take a moment to reflect on the history that has shaped our nation and the progress that continues today.
