The Godspeed Project Mindful grief support for children and families Hello! We are The Godspeed Project. A non-profit 501(c)3 founded by bereaved mother, Megan MacIntosh.

After tragically losing her 18 year old son to an accidental fentanyl poisoning in 2021, Megan turned her focus to helping the siblings Chase left behind navigate their grief. Knowing her son would want his story to help other she founded this project in his honor. The Godspeed Project is a unique and mindful approach to grief. We know first hand the impact loss can have on mental health and it is

our hope that with support, tenderness and care we learn to navigate the journey that is grief with grace and purpose.

The Godspeed Project is transitioning away from our current equine space — a place that so beautifully held both hurt and hope, loss and love.
It’s been incredible to see all that unfolded on this little patch of land.

Our equine program will resume this fall, once we have a new place to call home.

In the meantime, The journey continues — as grief does.

This summer, I’ll be offering support groups, both in person and online, centered in embodied grieving: art, breath, movement, and community.

If you’ve been part of this chapter, thank you for supporting this mission- for believing in me and for caring so deeply for the horses and those in grief who trusted this work to help them find hope.

November is National Children’s Grief Awareness month.
At the Godspeed Project we have been blessed to work with many children and their families and the journey these kids are on is a long one.
Simply said.. support is LACKING for kids. 🥺
Schools are not adequately equipped to offer the ongoing support grieving children need.
The caregivers who are raising these children are more often than not, also grieving.❤️‍🩹
It’s a journey you truly can’t imagine unless you have experienced it yourself.

This month- please follow along as we post some heartfelt stories from some of the families who have come to Godspeed as well as some evidence based research that might help you understand the needs of this overlooked and underserved population of kiddos.
