Here it is. The long list of people and places that we owe the BIGGEST thank you to. Their names were not at the forefront of this event, but they should be. We couldn’t have done it without this amazing behind-the-scenes crew. THANK YOU to…

🩵Barry Walton & the city crew for working tirelessly on a long to-do list for months before the weekend rolled around, for helping with set-up and take-down, street closures, and everything in between. Cavalier looked BEAUTIFUL, and we heard about it.

🧡Cavalier Public School—Matt Ford, Jonathan Moquist, Nikki Kemnitz, Scott Mountain, Bruce Werven, Steph Sigfusson, Dan Krumrie, Blair Ermer—thank you for putting up with us coming in and out (often), letting us use the whole school building for the program and tours, making sure everything was looking nice and clean, lending the parking lot for the fireworks show, and so much more. And the Cavalier School staff that volunteered their time to lead tours and stage their classrooms—in July.

🩵Aimee Homstad, Peyton LeTexier, and Danielle Blair for organizing the birthday party, handling the free swim, and organizing Sunday morning breakfast. Thank you for making these events so easy for us! We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

🧡Mary Jane Johnson, Amy Wirtz, Laney LeTexier, Kelsey Dawson (Awkward Baker), Kara Beattie (Gorge-ous Goods), and Laura Johnson (The No Name Bake Shop LLC) for making the delicious cupcakes for the birthday party. They were a hit!

🩵Troy Sott, T-Roy’s Porta Potties, for donating the rental and cleaning of two porta potties

🧡Rylee Laxdal, BSN Sports, for getting us set up with some cool mugs, golf balls, a merchandise shop, and door prizes for the golf tournaments

🩵Kirby Brandhagen for the use of the Cavalier Cinema for showings of the documentary, lending the screen for the showing at the school program, and the use of electricity for DJ Bill.

🧡Mr. Eric Kuhn & the senior class for handling clean-up on Main Street.

🩵The Cavalier Motorcycle Ride-In committee for sharing your resources so we didn’t have to reinvent the wheel. Your system made ours so easy.

🧡Rick Kemnitz, Val Indridson, Krista Abrahamson for handling two fun crowds at the golf course, making sure the tournaments ran smoothly, and for having a delicious lunch option available for golfers.

🩵The Levi’s Hope 5K crew for fitting your event into our weekend. It was the perfect kick-off to a beautiful Saturday morning!

🧡Melissa Gagner, Macie Shane, and Melanie Lage Johnson for handling the event merchandise. We heard so many compliments about the designs and saw many wearing the item over the weekend. Make sure to give their business pages a follow! (Designs by Mel, Moose & Bear House, The Crafty Bean Counter)

🩵The Santa Parade Committee--Kelly Vaughn, Chris Berry, Jenna Kemnitz, Nateal Barten, Rachel Morrison, Rebekah Laxdal, Lacey Hinkle--for handling our parade. It was amazing. Well done!

🧡Nicole Safranski for taking a trailer down to Fargo to pick up all the letters for the marquees.

🩵Alyx Erickson, A to Z Creative, for your countless hours devoted to the hype reels, sweethearts video, social media advice, the documentary, and all the little details, like the movie poster and invitations.

🧡Matt Ford, Lacey Hinkle, Margaret Gilmon, and Alyx Erickson for speaking at our program.

🩵The interviewees who were willing to get on camera and share their stories. We wouldn’t have a documentary without you.

🧡The bartenders for keeping up with the big crowds of people we brought to town.

🩵First United Bank for closing your drive-up on Friday and Saturday so the food trucks could set up.

🧡Morgan Printing for helping us with the School Days Part 2 book and Weekend Guides. The turnaround time was so quick!

🩵The Cavalier Chronicle and Michele Moquist for the coverage of the event in the newspaper.

🧡Napa for the use of your parking lot for the stage.

🩵John Jenson for bringing the stage to town and helping with set-up.

🧡The Masonic Lodge for the use of your building for the bands.

🩵Cavalier Area Chamber of Commerce for coordinating Music in the Park to work with our event. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend!

🧡PCMH, LOAN, Cavalier Farmer’s Market, and Doug Fisher for planning your own events to coincide with ours.

🩵Businesses that decorated windows

🧡Burgess’s greenhouse for the beautiful flowers all over town

🩵Darin Otto for driving the shuttle on Friday and Saturday.

🧡The Cavalier Community Foundation for providing free waters all around town all weekend.

🩵DJ Bill Lage, the Blue Ribbon Bandits, and The Johnny Holm Band for the entertainment that brought people to Main Street and kept it lively all weekend.

🧡The food vendors for providing us with many great dining options.

🩵Everyone who provided clothing, and offered to provide clothing, for the fashion display

🧡The Cavalier City Park, Pembina County Fairgrounds, and Cavalier Football Field for providing a camping option.

🩵All who were involved with the first School Days (1909-2005) book. It was still a hit 20 years later!

🧡Jeff Osvold, Steve Gapp, Marcus Ramsay, Knute Gjovik, and Corey Mortensen for the extra police coverage throughout the weekend.

🩵Nancy and John Jenson and Dean Willits for announcing at the parade.

🧡The Cavalier community for your help in making Cavalier look its best.

🩵Jesus Ramos for taking such nice photos of the weekend.

🧡And again, the countless businesses and individuals that sponsored this event. An updated (and final) sponsorship graphic will be posted soon!
