We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Stearns Bank N.A. for supporting the Pembina County Backpack Program through their Amplify the Good initiative.
They have donated $4,000 to help us provide weekend meals for kids across our county who rely on this program.
For many children, the meals they receive at school are the most reliable food they get all week. When Friday afternoon comes and school lets out, that safety net disappears. Our program works to make sure kids still have food over the weekend so they can come back to school Monday fed, focused, and ready to learn.
It costs about $3,500 each month to provide these weekend meals, and we rely solely on donations, so support like this truly makes a difference.
Even though Stearns Bank doesn’t have a branch in North Dakota (yet), they chose to invest in our community and in the well-being of our local kids — and that generosity means a lot.
Because of support like this, kids in our community won’t have to worry about being hungry this weekend.
