🔥 HIGH FIRE DANGER – PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION 🔥

Dry conditions are creating a HIGH FIRE DANGER across our area. A small spark can quickly turn into a large, dangerous fire.

🚫 Please avoid:
• Outdoor burning unless absolutely necessary
• Burning leaves, brush, or trash
• Parking vehicles in tall, dry grass
• Using fireworks or other ignition sources near vegetation
• Discarding ci******es on the ground

🔥 If you must have an outdoor fire:
• Check local burning restrictions first
• Keep water and firefighting tools nearby
• Never leave a fire unattended
• Completely extinguish the fire before leaving

🌬️ Remember: Dry grass, low humidity, and wind can cause fires to spread rapidly.

One spark can become a wildfire. Help us protect our homes, property, and community.

⚠️Extreme Heat Warning today and Monday. The heat index is expected to climb to 110 and higher for almost all of Missouri this afternoon and again on Monday afternoon.
✅Avoid outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
✅Drink plenty of water, sports drinks, or natural fruit juices to stay hydrated.
✅Avoid alcohol and beverages that contain caffeine as these tend to be dehydrating.
✅If outdoor activity is unavoidable, take plenty of breaks in the shade, or in an air conditioned environment away from the heat.

On behalf of the members of the Caulfield Membership Fire Department, we extend our deepest condolences to the Lick Creek Fire Department, the Brannan family, and all who had the privilege of serving alongside Firefighter Art Brannan.

The fire service is more than departments and district lines, we are one family. Today, we join you in mourning the loss of a dedicated firefighter whose years of service, unwavering commitment, and willingness to answer the call made a lasting impact on everyone around him. Firefighters like Art leave behind more than memories; they leave a legacy of selfless service, sacrifice, and devotion to their community.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy, the Brannan family, and every member of the Lick Creek Fire Department during this difficult time, as well as the communities that he served. May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead as you honor a life so well lived.

🎆 Fireworks Safety Reminder from the Caulfield Membership Fire Department 🚒

As we celebrate with family and friends, let’s make safety our top priority. Fireworks can be fun, but they can also cause serious injuries and fires if not used responsibly.

Stay safe this holiday by following these tips:
🎇 Never allow young children to handle fireworks.
🎇 Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby.
🎇 Light only one firework at a time and move away quickly.
🎇 Never relight a firework that didn’t go off.
🎇 Keep spectators at a safe distance.
🎇 Never use fireworks while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
🎇 Soak used fireworks in water before throwing them away.

Remember, sparklers burn at temperatures of over 1,200°F—hot enough to cause severe burns.

If a fire or emergency occurs, call 911 immediately.
