It's not too late for low-income families to sign up for advance child tax credit payments. But they have to do so by Nov. 15.

The Hudson Catskill Housing Coalition is hosting a Back-to-School Block Party from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, September 4, on Bronson Street in Catskill. A free backpack handout is planned to help provide kids with school supplies. For more information, please see the flyer. It's hard to believe summer is coming to an end. Catskill kids had a great time during the Community Center's 7-week Summer Fun Outdoor Recreation program, which concluded August 20. Many thanks to the Town of Catskill, Stewart's Shops, the Bank of Greene County, CREATE, Greene County, the State of New York, and an anonymous donor whose financial support made the program possible.

The rain snuck up on us. There will be no Summer Rec in the rain. So far, Friday looks good.

On hot August days, the kids in the Community Center's Summer Fun Recreation program especially love being in the water. Many thanks to recent grantors who helped make our Summer Fun Recreation program possible: the Bank of Greene County, CREATE Council on the Arts, and the Greene County Youth Bureau.
