April Ebnit our Class Facilitator for Emotionally Healthy Relationships at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center shares her experience after a Wednesday class.

We are in Phase II, working through Relational Integrity when April was open about her own journey guiding the ladies to freely take a step of faith in class.

Our Co-Founder and Director, Pastor Mike Shields delivered an encouraging message on how to navigate hard seasons to the ladies at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center.

Pastor Priscilla Shields delivered an encouraging message to the ladies at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center about trusting God when we don’t understand.

During chapel service the ladies broke out in song with Priscilla to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Diana Ross, it was a night to remember!

Pastor Gabe delivered an impactful message to the men at Dick Connor Correctional Center during chapel service. He encouraged the men that you can renew your mind, walk in freedom and not be a slave to your behaviors.

The highlight of the volunteer team’s evening was being presented with a custom plaque made by early participants of our Journey Into Freedom curriculum.

Tanya Shearer our Formation Director was on week 12 working through our “Pathway to Identify and Purpose” curriculum at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center. After restoring our identity, we learn to steward our Unique Design. It is an exciting part of the process to watch God restore what once felt lost.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

This Easter, not only do we celebrate that our Savior is alive, we celebrate transformation, hope, and a new life.

Because Jesus rose from the grave, lives are still being changed today. What was once broken can be restored. What felt lost can be redeemed. What seemed without purpose can be made new.

At Journey Into Freedom, our mission is to empower and restore confidence in the lives of men and women who are incarcerated or facing homelessness. We walk alongside each individual, guiding them on a Christ-centered journey of freedom and the discovery of their unique, God-given purpose.

Easter reminds us that no story is too far gone. Through Christ, chains are broken, identities are restored, and new beginnings are possible.
