Please note that the 60th Annual Christmas Parade in Catoosa will have a different route this year. We highly encourage families and spectators to park along both sides of Cherokee Street, starting at the Historical Society Museum, where additional planned activities are also available.

The parade will travel North on Cherokee, beginning at E. Pine St. and ending at E. Ford St.

For alternate route traffic or to meet up for the teardown at the end of the parade, please use Pine St. heading west to S. 4070 Rd. From there, go north, and take Tiger Switch Rd. going east to Denbo St.

We thought this might be helpful information for some of the new drivers out there. It can be a bit overwhelming when an accident occurs, so this checklist may come in handy if it happens. Remember to get pictures when possible and always buckle up for safety!

We are excited to announce beginning July 1st, Robert West will begin a new role as Associate Pastor at Woodcrest. Robert returned to his home church almost three years ago to serve as Student Pastor. In that time, Robert has surrendered to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, has been licensed to preach, and then ordained as a Free Will Baptist Minister. Our church has been blessed with the addition of Robert, K'Lei and their family and we believe God has great things in store for Robert in the future. Robert will remain as Student Pastor, however, he will become more involved in the day to day operations of the church as Associate Pastor, and casting vision for the future.

I just read a post where a neighbor was complaining about a yard on her street that was normally taken care of, but had recently been let go. There was a barrage of people demanding it be turned in to be cited by the city.
Can I ask my friends to consider something?...if you see this in your neighborhood, go knock on the door and see what's going on.
Last year my Mother in laws yard, which is normally immaculately manicured went weeks without being touched. She was inside the home caring for her husband who was dying from Cancer. I remember watching as a few young men from her Church showed up with trailers, riding mowers and went to work getting it taken care of. It took a village to help her last year and I know she may not have remembered everyone that helped, I know she appreciated having every single second she could with Chris.
Maybe your neighbor has something much bigger to take care of than uncut grass...and maybe they need some help. Let's don't lose all ability to be neighborly.
