🇺🇸 VETERANS — READY TO FILE A VA DISABILITY CLAIM?

Whether you’re filing for the first time or simply need help understanding where to start, there are resources available to assist you.

The VA provides 3 ways to file a disability claim:
🌐 Online at VA.gov
🤝 With an accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO) — assistance is FREE
📬 By mail or in person through your local VA Regional Office

Before you file, get organized. A strong claim generally includes:

✅ A current diagnosis
✅ Evidence of an in-service event, injury, illness, or exposure
✅ A medical nexus connecting your current disability to your military service
✅ Service and medical records
✅ A personal statement
✅ Buddy statements, when applicable
✅ Supporting evidence and documentation

⭐ IMPORTANT: Consider submitting an Intent to File (ITF) while you gather your evidence. This may help protect your potential effective date.

Ladies, we are looking for someone who would be interested in serving as our Girls State Chairperson, along with a member willing to serve as Co-Chair.

ALA Girls State is such an important program that gives young women the opportunity to learn about leadership, government, citizenship, and service. This is a great opportunity for a couple of our members to step up, work together, and help support the next generation of young leaders.

You will not have to do it alone! Teamwork makes the difference, and we are here to support you along the way. 🫶🏾
