In Loving Memory of Illustrious Sir John Kahvedjian, 2015 Potentate of El Bekal Shrine

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend and 2015 Potentate, Illustrious Sir John Kehvejian. A man of deep compassion, boundless generosity, and unwavering care for others, John was a guiding light in our Shrine community and beyond. His kindness touched many lives, and his legacy will remain in our hearts forever.

We extend our sincerest condolences to his family during this difficult time and hold them in our thoughts and prayers. Details regarding a celebration of life ceremony will be shared in the near future, where we will come together to honor and remember the incredible life and contributions of Illustrious Sir John Kahvedjian.

May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Now that was a great time and a great ceremonial at the hospital. It is hard to believe how man years have gone by since then. The trip afterward to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles was almost as epic.

July 6, 2024, something historic happened. Instead of having individual POV to every temple, the four Temples (Al Malaikah LA, Al Bahr SD, El Bekal Anaheim and Asiya Shrine San Mateo, CA) came together for a fun visit to honor and receive Mabuhay Shrine from Manila. This wonderful event was hosted by our great Noble Brothers at Fallbrook Lodge and coordinated by our very own Sons of the Desert Shrine Club. If you missed it, you missed a great party but rumor has it we will organize an even bigger party next year, hosted at Al Bahr Shrine Temple. Isn't it wonderful to see Brethren working in harmony and having fun while acheiving great results together?
