☀️🐾 HERE’S A FEW THINGS YOU MAY NOT REALIZE ABOUT EARLY SUMMER HEAT… 🐾☀️
🌡️ When air temperatures rise above 80°, surfaces like asphalt, concrete, gravel, and truck beds in direct sunlight can become hot enough to burn bare feet and your pet’s paws too. So before asking your pet to walk, stop and place your hand on the road first.
🚗 When it’s only 80° outside, the inside of a vehicle can climb to nearly 100° in just 10 minutes and around 114° within 30 minutes even with windows cracked. Fresh water alone is NOT enough to save a dog in this situation.
🌳 Proper shade can make outdoor areas 10–15 degrees cooler and helps protect pets from dangerous heat exposure during the hottest parts of the day. Pro tip: Place shade over your animal’s dog house to help control temperatures inside it as well.
Always provide:
✔️ Fresh water
✔️ Proper shade
✔️ Cool resting areas
✔️ Limited outdoor activity during peak heat hours
If it feels hot to you, it feels even hotter to them. ❤️🐾
