Our 2026 fundraiser with American Fundraising Group officially kicks off TODAY, September 1st! 🎉

📦 Fundraising packets started coming home yesterday, so be sure to check those backpacks! Everything you need to get started is included in the packet.

Catawba families, this one sounds like a lot of fun!

Jacob’s Dairy Bar is hosting their annual Back to School Night next Tuesday, August 25th, and The folks from Rolling Stone Mining Co. reached out and invited Catawba Elementary PTO to participate in their gem mining fundraiser while they’re there!

📅 Tuesday, August 25th
⏰ 3–9 PM
📍 Jacob’s Dairy Bar – 2612 NC-16, Newton

🍦 There will be FREE kiddy cones and snow cones from 3–9, a free raffle, and gem mining!

💎 If you decide to do the Motherload gem mining, $10 from every purchase goes to the school PTO of your choice. And the school that raises the most will have their donation DOUBLED!

So if you’re going to gem mine, choose Catawba Elementary PTO! ❤️

Last year they gave away more than 600 free cones, so clearly this is a night you don’t want to miss!

Grab the kids, come enjoy a free treat, do some gem mining, and help support Catawba while you’re there!

💙 What a great day at Catawba Elementary! 💙

It was SO good seeing everyone at Open House today! We’re excited for another great year and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together. 🚀

A quick reminder: if you’re a parent/guardian or staff member at Catawba Elementary, you are a member of the PTO! There’s no special sign-up or membership fee. We want the PTO to be something that includes our whole school community—not just a handful of people.

We’d love for you to take a couple of minutes to fill out our form! It will help us keep you informed, hear your ideas, and create more of a community between our families, staff, and school. We also want to know what YOU would love to see the PTO accomplish this year! 💭

Tomorrow’s the day! 🎉💙💛

🏫 Catawba Elementary Open House is TOMORROW! With Sessions at 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM. We can’t wait to see everyone and kick off a new school year!

🍧 SUNSET SLUSH will be there from 1:30–7:30 PM, and 10% of all sales will be donated to the PTO! So come meet your teacher, grab a sweet treat, and support our school! ☀️🍧

🥨 STOCK THE LOUNGE — Want to help us spoil our teachers? We’re collecting snacks and drinks for the teachers’ lounge! You can drop off your donations at the PTO table during Open House, and we’ll take care of getting them stocked in the lounge. 💙💛

A very special THANK YOU to Lakeside Mulch & Stone for generously donating the pine needles for our Campus Beautification Day! Your support helped us give our school grounds a fresh look as we get ready to welcome everyone back for a new school year.

We are so grateful for local businesses that continue to support Catawba Elementary and our students. Thank you for investing in our school community! 💙

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out for our Campus Beautification Day! We had so many amazing volunteers show up, get their hands dirty, and help make our school look its best for the new school year.

We are so grateful for every person who gave their time and energy to help. It truly takes a village, and we’re lucky to have such a wonderful school community!
