Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day of remembrance, reflection, and recognition of a painful chapter in our nation's history, as well as the strength, resilience, and perseverance of those who endured it.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been issued. It reminds us that freedom delayed is freedom denied and that the pursuit of justice requires both remembrance and action.

At The Love YOU More Movement, we honor the lives, stories, sacrifices, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history. We also acknowledge that while progress has been made, there is still important work to do. Inequities and barriers continue to exist, and the need for understanding, equity, opportunity, and meaningful change remains.

May today be a time for listening, learning, reflecting, and recommitting ourselves to building communities where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. By honoring the past and recognizing the work that lies ahead, we can help create a future that is more just, inclusive, and hopeful for all.

Love is our foundation.
