Our volunteers have a healthier outlook on life. They tend to be more dedicated and consistently report being happier. Young, old, professional... it doesn't matter. Volunteering is good for everyone; it's a great way to support our communities. The Golden Goose Thrift shop is always seeking individuals who wish to donate their time sorting, pricing, stocking, and selling donated merchandise. Our
volunteers donate more than 5,000 hours of time each month to keep the Goose operating. We are always looking for more volunteers to help with everything from answering phones, researching the value of items, testing electrical equipment, operating cash registers, wrapping packages, restoring and cleaning art work, stocking the shelves or helping in a host of other ways. Our volunteers are what make the Goose a happening place! New Volunteer orientation takes place every month on the third Monday at 3:00 PM. Call 825-9101 for more information and to place you name on the list. As a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, your donations to the Golden Goose Thrift Shop are tax deductible. That great furniture that looked good in your pre-retirement home but just does not fit in your southwest home will bring pleasure to another family (and a tax deduction to you). We gladly accept gently used items for resale in our shop. Are the items too large for your car? Call 825-9101 to arrange for our friendly volunteers to pick up your donation at your home. Special Moonlight Madness Shopping is on the third Friday of each month from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Shop often for daily "manager specials," "special events,""theme sales," and "overstock reductions." Great Selection. Incredible savings. You will never know what a bargain is until you visit the Goose! Our communities remain strong because of those who care enough to share their time, their talents, and their resources.
