🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary Americans who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Local 2544 would also like to recognize and thank our Ajo Station agents who proudly participated in and supported this 9/11 remembrance event. Their presence represents the continued commitment of our Border Patrol agents to service, community, and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, we remember their names, their courage, and the unity our nation showed in the days that followed.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

If you are no longer paying dues to Local 2544 because you have been promoted or transferred to another sector, you must contact Samantha Covino at [email protected] to begin transferring your cell phone off the Verizon plan. The plan is only offered to dues‑paying members of LOCAL 2544. In addition,  you are not permitted to pay dues to a different local other than where you are assigned as an agent, per the AFGE Constitution. 

We will begin sending text messages in three days to all non‑members currently on the plan. If the transfer is not completed, we will cancel your cellular service and you will not be able to keep your current phone numbers.

Local 2544 uses the negotiated safety process to identify hazards, inspect facilities, recommend corrections, promote safety education, and challenge unsafe work practices. The goal is prevention, documentation, and timely corrective action.
